Welcome to my new website!

I have read thousands of romances over the years, reveling in the excitement, adventures, relationships, and 'happily ever after' endings. It wasn't until I was in my early forties, and working as a school counselor, that I plucked up the courage to try writing my own. I started with fan fiction, where I received an incredible amount of support and made lifelong friends from amongst a wonderful community of readers, reviewers, and fellow writers. To my amazement, my stories attracted the interest of an acquisitions editor at The Writer's Coffee Shop. I published several books with them, learning a great deal in the process. When they closed their doors in 2017, I took a giant leap and published my stories independently, a decision I do not regret.

My real life name is rather boring, so I was quite excited at the prospect of using an author name. My grandmother always bemoaned that her French grandfather's name was Anglicized when he migrated from France to Australia in the 1800s. She would have much preferred being Elise de Sallier to the prosaic-sounding, Alice Saller. I agreed it was far more exotic, secretly deciding it would make the perfect name for a romance novelist long before I ever became one. I'd like to think my grandmother, who lived until she was 96, would be proud of my publishing endeavors. Although I fear she'd have been shocked by my steamy love scenes!

I hope you receive as much enjoyment from reading my stories as I do from writing them. I like to see my characters grow, experience passion and adventure, tackle some difficult issues, and find lasting love . . . eventually.

xx Elise
